I just made a good blueberry smoothie. The recipe follows.

I am realizing....
hey! we're entering smoothie season! What kinds of smoothies are you
making these days?

small chunk of dark chocolate
8 plain almonds

My two current favs right now are my Chocolate Strawberry, and an Orange Mango smoothie.

    Chocolate Strawberry:
1 cup plain-low fat Stony Field Farms organic yogurt
Chocolate Almond Milk (Almond Breeze) to desired consistancy
A good handful of frozen strawberries

    Orange Mango:
1 cup plain-low fat Stony Field Farms organic yogurt
Splash of OJ, or better yet, fresh squeezed!
    Splash of milk
A good handful of frozen mango chunks
(A sprinkle of sweetener if desired)

    Yum!

I'm a sucker who usually *buys* smoothies – I live too far away to go home between work and class.

Anyway, made one not long ago:

About 1 measured scoop of Slim Fast French Vanilla mix
    about 6 oz. 1% milk
one small Lite & Fit vanilla yogurt
    1 1/2 kiwi fruit
    1 banana
    2 large strawberries

Actually made enough to share with 2 people, so cut the measurements in half for a single serving (hence the 1/2 kiwi).
Needed some kind of "meal replacement" in there, as this was the "dinner" before class, and it would be 3 hours before we were in a position to eat real food, which is why the Slim Fast is there.

    Hi!
my smoothies vary but always include
    frozen fruit
    little bit of ice
    yogurt
    juice or milk
    ground flax seeds
    almonds
    dates
    raw grated coconut
    sometimes I add...
    fresh banana or other fruit
    steeped ginger
    chai
    hemp or whey protien
    honey or agave

I never thought of adding chocolate to a smoothie, I love it! I love the tasty chocolate tofu desert I get at our coop, I think I'll plop some in our next smoothie, yummmmm

I don't currently own a blender, but at home my mom would always put 1/2 a package of silk tofu in smoothies, it makes it very smooth and adds protein, she would also ALWAYS put just a pinch of salt in smoothies to bring out the flavor, it sounds weird but you should REALLY try it!
