I don't think they're weird, but the bf says they are
    grilled cheese with mustard
    hot sauce on pizza
He should talk though, he puts ketchup on rice!

Tahini and mustard sandwich. We used to eat them as kids. Haven't had one in ages though.

      Here's what I've been told I like that's weird:

dipping cottage cheese with chips or crackers
leftover French dressing (like from a salad bar) mixed with cottage cheese, dipping with crackers
Miracle Whip and tomato slice sandwich
      Tomato wedges and ranch dressing
using cabbage in place of lettuce
thinly sliced/shaved cabbage in pot roast, stew, casserole
      Cabbage stir fry

What I think is weird that I DON'T eat:
      ketchup on eggs
ketchup and grape jelly on eggs
      ketchup on mac-n-cheese

i dig eating some cottage cheese with carrots and raisens:)
also cottage cheese with peanut butter, cinnamon, and strawberries:)

ketchup and eggs is gross to me too:| and as for the other ketchup stuff, yeah, i wouldn't go there either.

Duck, I don't think what you eat is weird. I've eaten all those things. I have never heard of the grape jelly on eggs though. But I have had meatballs crockpotted in grape jelly ... they were good. Interesting.
Some people in my extended family eat mustard on their eggs, not ketchup. I like either one.

I think that the only way to find them now is to have a friend who cans, or can them yourself. I canned a bunch a few weeks ago, and it's all I can do not to break into them! (Yeah, I know, *definitely* not lazy! But, then, you do have all that food at your fingertips for a long time to come.)

So I went to college with a guy who ate peanut butter on scrambled eggs. I thought it was completely bizarre. . . .it's actually. . . .DELICIOUS. I never ate scrambled eggs before trying this. . . (hard scramble really only works.)

OH! And you will almost always find pickled watermelon in middle eastern or mediterranean specialty supermarkets since it is common to those cooking palattes.

Catchup, good thing you never new my younger brother Dean, he puts catchup on nearly everything he eats, everything, and yes defiantly on eggs, and mac-n-cheese.

Had a friend who ate ketchup on chicken.

In my 20's I used to love: diet Imperial margarine & Mrs. Fannings pickles on squishy white bread.

In my teens I'd take a mayo jar to camp: Layers of spaghetti with meat sauce, parmesean cheese and chopped apples.

As I kid I drank cider vinegar with salt.

No wonder I turned out so strange...

Peanut butter on pancakes and waffles, then maple syrup over the top of that.

To make peanut butter cookies more decadent, add in some maple syrup, and add some cinnamon and nutmeg to the sugar you roll them in.
        Yummy.

back in the day. . .

i would get a big bowl and empty a can of spicy bean dip in it. . .a can of tuna, a can of smoked oysters, add a dill pickle spear or two, some mushy avocado and a few tablespoons of rice. i don't eat like that now, but what a wild treat. sometimes i would add sour cream to it or plain yogurt. .

Not weird, I have for years put peanut butter, but prefer almond butter on pancakes, but not hot ones, left over pancakes. Being i don't/ can''t eat wheat, I make them, and use them like bread, as a sweet treat. You can apply almost anything you want to fit the urge or dinning occasion.

Fresh French Bread - Toasted and lightly buttered
2 parts hot milk mixed with 1 part Espresso brewed in the perculator in a coffee mug (spoonful of sugar if desired)
Thick slice of extra sharp cheddar (about 1cm thick cut off the block of cheese)

While Espresso/milk is still hot, drop the cheese into it and allow it to soften until it is nearly melted, then spoon onto toast.
I continue to dunk the cheese toast into the coffee as I eat it.

SOO YUMMY. This is our Sunday morning breakfast and it had not occurred to me that this would be considered a weird combo.

So… you're melting cheese in the espresso, then spooning the melted cheese onto the bread, then drinking the cheese espresso?

How does the melted cheese stick to the bread when you dunk it in the espresso?

Some people think it's weird that I like ground beef and black olives on pizza. I love it though. Mmmmmmmm.

I cant eat garlic anymore but I used to looooove the sliced pizza at New York Pizza ( Or Marcellos ? ) in the Castro that was pesto with thin slices of potato and whole pieces of garlic. When I first saw it I was like "Um. Yeah right." Then I finally tried it and it became my favorite.

the melted cheese is sort of oozy when I take it out of the espresso and put it onto the bread, but hardens up enough to hold it's shape once on the bread and away from the heat.
i do drink the espresso before and while the cheese is in there melting, but after the oil from the cheese and toast crumbs are visible floating in the espresso, it becomes something to dip the cheese toast into, not really for drinking anymore. I am sure you could drink it but it just doesn't look appealing to me at that point.
Also, it's gotta be EXTRA SHARP Cheddar. Mild or Sharp Cheddar just don't taste right.

          Beer and Hershey chocolate kisses.

My favorite sandwich of all time is pumpernickel bread with tuna salad, horseradish and coleslaw. Yum!

When I was a kid, my brother and I would eat mayonnaise on white bread and dip it into a glass of milk. It was lovely, but sounds really gross now!

Another thing I loved as a kind was picked artichoke hearts and orange soda. Gag!

I used to think putting Lays corn chips on bread with cheese and mustard was weird, but not any more, started this as kid, when I was bored. I loved the taste of Lays corn chips, even potato chips on picnics and etc, so decided to put them in the same sandwiches I enjoyed eating them with, it is the taste combination of them being eaten at the same times. I have found a few over the years who do the same thing with the mustard and chips.

I met a girl years ago, who could not eat apple slices unless she dipped them in peanut butter, she said it was a family tradition. So I have come to the conclusion, weird is just what we have not tied or been exposed to yet.

I just tried something the last couple days, I take precooked mix veggies, mix with a combo cooked mix of brown rice and Quinoa, and season to my taste with Soy sauce, red salsa and mustard, wow, very different and very good tasting.

I never liked peanut butter until I ate it on apple slices! the wetness of the apple completely takes care of the stickiness of the peanut butter that I cannot stand on it's own!

My son will eat ramen noodles with just ketchup. Yuck!

And I saw my dad put ketchup on chocolate cake once. But I think (Hope) he did it to gross out us kids.

unsweetened chocolate or cocoa into chili is not the same thing as mole at all!

they are both wonderful tho - just entirely different.

Margot I was trying to keep it simple

        a sample Chicken Mole recipe
        Ingredients
        2 tablespoons olive oil
        1 onion, chopped
        3 cloves garlic, chopped
        2 tablespoons chili powder
        1 teaspoon ground cumin
        1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
        1 can diced tomatoes, drained
        1 bell pepper, chopped
        2 chipotle peppers, roughly chopped
        1 (10-ounce) can chicken broth
        2 tablespoons peanut butter
        2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
        1 (5-pound) chicken, cut into 8 pieces
Toasted pepitas (pumpkin seeds), for garnish
        White rice, for serving

includes the use of a type of red chile and chocolate

Here in NM we can spend hour discussing the differences between the different chiles

my husband brought home some groceries the other day and there was a container of cottage cheese in the bag that he hadn't purchased. yay for me, since we never usually buy the stuff but I really like it, especially with a few big shakes of Montreal steak seasoning on it. my hubbs thought it was weird, but I like my cottage cheese savory.

also, love love love cantaloupe with salt on it. so flavorful!

I like to eat Pamela's ginger cookies any way they come but lately, I've been spooning apple sauce in a bowl and using the cookies like chips and dip, its sweet and yummy. If you look around you can find apple sauce that doesn't have ascorbic acid or citric acid. . .trader joes has it and others as well. .

My brother used to put Lowreys Season Salt on popcorn. He thought it was the best thing ever. I would eat a little but ultimately didnt care for it. He would also get a breakfast plate and cut all of it up together and put ketchup all over it. I always thought that was totally disgusting. You may as well just put it all in a blender and drink the shit. GROSS!!!
