Saturday I bought a quart of blueberries. My kid has announced she doen't like blueberries so I get to make whatever I want. Needs to be something I can freeze and thaw out a few at a time, since I'll be the only one eating it.
Any suggestions on what to make?

Re: Blueberries
Mon, June 29, 2009 - 10:24 AMjust put the berries into a bag and freeze.
then you can add them to muffins, pancakes or whatever directly from the freezer.
They stay pretty "single" in the bag in the freezer too.
This is how I do all of mine, then I can pick what I want to use them for! -

Re: Blueberries
Mon, June 29, 2009 - 7:59 PMDip them in dark chocolate. Maybe not super healthy, but both foods are really high in antioxidants, so they kind of cancel out the calories, right? ;-) -

Mon, June 29, 2009 - 10:27 PMBlueberries are so good for you. They make me want to touch myself. But then what doesnt. ANYWAYS!!! Just eat them by themselves. Theyre perfect. I did have a date once with this dude that pot them on ice creme with caramel and cinnamin or something. It was incredible. He was a perv though and I never saw him again. I actually do have standards. Ha! -

Re: Blueberries
Tue, June 30, 2009 - 7:07 PMA friend at work brought me a huge container of blueberries and strawberries today. We were talking about them last friday. He wont let me pay him. Theyre huge and really nice and tastey. Mmmmmmm BABY!!! I want to rub them all over my body. I would like to fill a bathtub with them and just lay in them and totally gorge out. Maybe have some three or four sex slaves pour homemade whipped creme all over me and have everyone licking and eating and sucking and ........... OH GOD YES!!! -

Sun, July 5, 2009 - 6:01 AMi do the same with blueberries...yogurt and granola...it works well with frozen as well. if you bake with them make sure to coat them with flour or they will all sink to the bottom. -

Re: Blueberries
Sat, July 25, 2009 - 9:31 AMFrozen Blueberries, like most fruits, you can freeze them, and then toss them into a blender to make fruit frosties, or what ever you want to call them, if you add enough, it goes to a heavy milkshake medium, if you add to something like milk and some sweetener. I prefer almond or some nut milk to, and even soy to real milk, and use a natural sweetener. But we all have our preferences, so try it as you please.
If you are into smoothies, you just don't add as many, but freezing them keeps them fresh and easy to use.
